More About SEO

Get Noticed. Get Indexed.

What is Search Engine Optimization (SEO)? Simply put, SEO is the science of marketing keywords as they relate to searches conducted on search engines. SEO is obviously more technical and complex in nature, more so than the average web surfer would want to delve into, but for the aspiring 'netrepreneur' it is required knowledge.

SEO combines web programming with business, the art of persuasion, sales, and for the SEO practitioner whom implements the optimization, a love for problem solving and words as puzzles.

SEO is a blend of many variables, which are very intricate in nature, but in the eyes of leading search engines such as Google it should remain an objective science. The programmers and SEO practitioners that work with Content Domain's clients are in tune with Google's, and other market leader's mentalities and guidlines.

Maintaining and achieving top 10 rankings in a search engine must be obtained through monitoring keyword phrases that are being entered into the search engines in your organization's competitive industry.

There are three parties involved in Search Engine Optimization:

1. Clients - owners of the website whose emphasis is on sales, holding users (sticky), and user experience with an emphasis on getting the visitor to take a desired action such as buy the product and/or service.
2. Search Engines - whose emphasis is on providing a positive user experience in great part through relevance (controlled by algorithms) and minimal negative impact as a result of "bait-and-switch" technologies where the keyword is not relevant to the site's content.
3. SEO Firms - such as Content Domain whose goal it is to obtain traffic for client sites as a result of a search engine query (keyword phrases). This involves understanding the Search Engine ranking algorithm, beating the competing SEO firms by optimizing other clients for the same terms, and remaining within the "No Spam" boundaries. In addition, Content Domain is paid by Clients and is in no way paid by Search Engines.

The end objective of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is to increase targeted web visitors by using the most appropriate keywords relevant to your industry that are also integrated into your site's content, copy and text.
